Rescuing Cows: A Sacred Mission
Nimit with the first cow at the slaughterhouse, showing the moment of rescue.
Our first initiative holds deep spiritual significance: rescuing cows from slaughterhouses in Thailand. In August 2023, I, Nimit, traveled to Thailand to rescue our first cow, purchasing it from a slaughterhouse for $1,000 with my own funds. This sacred act marked the beginning of an ongoing mission—using Nimitta’s revenue to rescue more cows each year, giving them new lives with farmers who care for them as sacred beings. As part of a program initiated by King Rama IX of Thailand, each cow is donated to a farmer who uses it for milk and farming, with a promise never to resell it to a slaughterhouse, reflecting a profound reverence for life and the interconnectedness of all beings. Join us on this cosmic journey of compassion—see the rescues unfold in the photos and videos below, and stay tuned as we continue to expand our impact.”

Why Rescuing Cows Matters
In Hinduism, cows are revered as Kamadhenu, the divine wish-fulfilling cow who emerged during the churning of the cosmic ocean in ancient scriptures. Known as the mother of all cows, Kamadhenu embodies prosperity, abundance, and purity, granting endless sustenance and blessings to those who honor her. Rescuing a cow not only saves a sacred life but also supports a struggling farmer, providing them with a sustainable livelihood through milk production or agricultural support. This act of compassion aligns with Nimitta’s mission to foster holistic growth, honoring the divine in all living beings while creating tangible benefits for communities in need.

Personal Journey: The Blessing of Kamadhenu
My commitment to rescuing cows stems from a transformative spiritual experience. Several years ago, I received a palm leaf reading—a sacred practice rooted in ancient India, where maharishis inscribed the destinies of countless souls on dried palm leaves over 2,000 years ago. Using my thumbprint, a Nadi reader located my leaf and revealed that I carry the blessing of Kamadhenu, the divine cow mother, a symbol of abundance and purity in Hinduism. Deeply moved by this revelation, I gave up eating beef and vowed to rescue as many cows as I can from slaughterhouses, honoring the sacred connection I share with these gentle beings.

Subsequent Rescues
In May 2025, I returned to Thailand with a mission fueled by compassion and the generous support of 15 friends and family members, who raised nearly $3,000 to rescue three cows from a slaughterhouse. Stepping into the crowded cage, I faced the heart-wrenching task of choosing just three from many desperate souls, joined by supporters who shared my vision. Together, we connected deeply with each cow, seeking those we felt a special bond with. Among them, a white cow stood out, its face streaked with dried tears, trembling in fear—a sight that pierced our hearts. Without hesitation, I chose to save her, along with two others, offering each a blessing as they were gently tagged for their journey to a safe farm. As I left, my heart glowed with warmth, renewed by the lives we touched and the hope of returning to rescue more.
